Everything You Need to Know About the 2026 Oscars Street Closures Today Through Monday, March 16<\/b><\/h2>\n

The 98th Academy Awards are set for<\/span> Sunday, March 15, 2026, beginning at 4:00 p.m. PST<\/span><\/a>, and the City of Los Angeles has implemented one of its most sweeping road and sidewalk closure plans of the year to accommodate the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whether you’re a local resident, a commuter, or just someone trying to grab dinner in Hollywood, here is everything you need to know before venturing out into the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

Street and Sidewalk Closures Began Earlier This Week<\/b><\/h2>\n

Surprisingly, the Oscars street closures started nearly a month ago, not this weekend. The first closure, Johnny Grant Way between Orange Drive and Orchid Avenue, began on February 22. That closure is scheduled to remain in place another full week until 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 21.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
