What Happened During the Three-Vehicle Car Accident
The crash was reported at approximately 7:44 p.m. on September 18, 2026, on Wilson Ranch Road near Avenal Street in Phelan.
San Bernardino County Fire crews responded to find an overturned vehicle with one occupant trapped inside and in need of extrication.
According to California Highway Patrol incident logs, three vehicles were involved in the collision, including a sedan that flipped onto its roof. A man in his mid-40s was pinned inside the overturned car with a head laceration and significant bleeding.
Emergency Response and Airlift
Firefighters requested air support, and a Mercy Air 2 helicopter landed near the crash site. The injured driver was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Emergency crews also requested a hard closure of Wilson Ranch Road while they worked to clear the scene and stabilize the patient.
Investigation Underway
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol’s Victorville station. No further details about the other drivers or vehicles involved have been released at this time.
