1300+Two people died on Thursday, September 24, 2026, after a small aircraft crashed in a rural area of Hesperia, California. The San Bernardino County Fire Department received a call around 9:58 a.m. reporting a single aircraft down near Summit Valley Road, east of Maple Avenue, roughly two miles from Hesperia Airport.
Fire officials confirmed that both occupants were found dead inside the wreckage at the scene. SBCF spokesperson Christopher Prater said no survivors were located.

The Federal Aviation Administration identified the aircraft as a single-engine Aeronca Champion.
