1300+Four people are facing charges after a multi-agency narcotics investigation led to the dismantling of two methamphetamine conversion labs and the seizure of hundreds of pounds of drugs across the Bakersfield and Delano areas.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) said the operation targeted a drug trafficking network believed to be manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine throughout the Central Valley.
How the Investigation Unfolded
On September 23, 2026, KCSO and the Kern County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force (KC-HIDTA), assisted by the Gang Unit and Special Operations Group, served search warrants at four locations:
- 6700 block of Brewerton Court, Bakersfield
- 1300 block of High Street, Delano
- 10400 block of Brutton Street, Delano
- 600 block of North Market Road, Earlimart
Investigators said the searches led to the discovery of two methamphetamine conversion labs, one at a residential property in Delano and another at a rural property in Los Angeles County.
What Was Seized
The operation resulted in the seizure of:
- About 102.8 pounds of methamphetamine
- Roughly 576.47 pounds of methamphetamine in solution
- Seven firearms
- Several thousand dollars in cash
- A stolen Class C motorhome
Suspects Facing Charges
Authorities identified four suspects allegedly connected to the operation:
- Emmanuel Mayorga, 37, of Mexico
- Lucio Meza-Meza, 30, of Mexico
- Miguel Gonzalez-Lozano, 27, of Delano
- Maricio Bustos-Ortiz, of Fresno
Investigators said the suspects are accused of conspiring to possess methamphetamine for sales, conspiring to manufacture methamphetamine for sales, and trafficking methamphetamine throughout the Central Valley.
Gonzalez-Lozano was arrested on September 22 in Madera County on an outstanding warrant. Mayorga and Meza-Meza were both taken into custody the following day in the 1300 block of High Street in Delano, also on active warrants. Bustos-Ortiz was arrested earlier in July and is currently awaiting court proceedings.
