1300+A pedestrian and his dog were seriously injured Monday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle at a busy Victorville intersection.
How the Crash Happened
The crash occurred around 3:22 p.m. on September 21, 2026, at the intersection of La Mesa Road and El Evado Road in Victorville. Authorities say a white Tesla was making a turn onto La Mesa Road from El Evado Road when it struck an adult male pedestrian and his dog.
Socorro Cuevas, a public information officer with the Victorville Police Department, confirmed the details of the collision to local media.
Extent of Injuries
A witness described the pedestrian as appearing to be covered in blood and seriously hurt. He was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. His condition had not been released as of the time of the report.
Animal Control was called to the scene to assist with the injured dog.
Scene and Investigation
The Tesla involved in the crash came to a stop in the westbound lanes of La Mesa Road, with major damage to the front windshield. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
